Skiing in Bariloche , Argentina

August 2018

We were lucky .
For multiple reasons, not just coming back in one piece .
We had perfect weather  3 out of 4 days .
This is third time that I have been there , yet is the first time that I could appreciate  so well the incredible lakes and mountains views .
Despite being the “worst” year as far as snowfall – We had snow conditions exactly like the Haute Route ( despite the fact that the Alps had tons of snow and the Andes barely …)
Essentially – variable conditions .

And we got to ski pretty much all what’s skiable_ _.

The terrain that had no snow – having skied it before – it’s nothing to write home about it .
We got to ski tour a truly back country area , driving on a crazy  narrow mountain dirt road with a very skilled driver in a Land Rover Defender .
There were very few powder days – but we got to ski one of those !
We had  not one , but 3 cool guides .
The food was delicious , and the wines – we got to drink one of the two percent best wines .
The  lake view from the hotel was  awesome  , the pool was super cool and the massages amazing and the peso devalued at the beginning of August and even more when we were there – making all dirt cheap.
We had a cool stroll in Buenos Aires , and none of the flights were delayed .

So we were lucky !

Thanks Jorge Kozuliy (Main Argentinian guide )

We had Shel, Joe, David , Rob and Alon
