Meet Dr. Alon Vainer
I have two passions in life. Medicine and Adventures. I have practiced full time as a physician /nephrologist for since 1993.
During this time, I also organized adventure trips for a small group of friends…and the group kept growing bigger and bigger.
Some of the highlights include:

- Ski toured in the Arctic Circle-North Norway
- Summited Mt.Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps and in Western Europe.
- Skied the North Face of the Mt Blanc
- Ski toured in Antarctica
- Ski toured the Haute Route and the Dolomites Haute Route and in the lake district of Bariloche Argentina
- Trekked the most challenging trek and the most beautiful in Europe -the Selvaggio Blue
- Rock climbed the Dolomites mountains
- Canyoned the slot Canyons in Utah
- Trekked in Patagonia
- Climbed many glaciers
- Canoed the Yukon River.
- Heli skied in New Zealand and the Kamchatka peninsula, Caucasus and Siberia
- Skied in the waste deep powder of Japan
I was lucky to live in many places in this great world of ours.
I was born in Romania, raised in Israel -where I served for 3 years in the Paratroops. In fact during my boot camp I developed the “travel bug “. We were in a location where I could see the planes taking off, and I was dreaming of being in one of those planes and seeing the world.
I studied Medicine in Milan, Italy. During those years, I got to travel extensively throughout Europe and got to know the Alps. Milan is only 2.5 -3 hours drive away from the most amazing ski locations in the Alps.
After graduation, I moved to the US and have lived here ever since. So no wonder I speak many languages. I trained in Martial arts and reached black belt, and I am a certified yoga instructor.
I believe in ASICS -"Anima Sana in Corpore Sano”-a healthy soul in a healthy body. And I love the outdoors, skiing, ski touring, rock climbing, hiking and trekking.
My organizational skills honed while I created multiple dialysis clinics helped me in organizing all the amazing adventures. I established over the years a significant connection network with top mountain guides.
The time has come to create the same amazing experiences for people thirsty for adventure. Our adventures not only push one to their own edge, physical and mental.
I believe that one does not have to be a professional skier or climber in order to ski or climb amazing places!
The mind controls everything, the only way to improve is to work on it, and being rational as much as possible, not letting the emotions taking over. Tough times happen to the best and it's good to overcome and take a breath of satisfaction when we go through them.
Meet Lori Vainer
Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga.
I studied Education at the University of Georgia and got my Masters in Education at Oglethorpe University.
A big part of the reason I went into teaching was due to my love of travel. Teaching allowed me to spend my summers abroad. Interesting enough, I met my husband Alon while travelling abroad after spending 6 weeks volunteering in the Israeli army. We met in Tel Aviv.
We married, moved to Canada for 2 years and then returned to my home state.
I have been the COO of Vainer Investments for the last 15 years. Our company is a real estate investment company which is made up of commercial, residential, and land properties.
My travel bug started after my first backpacking trip to Europe. I realized, on this trip, that there is truly a great big world out there to be explored. I am so happy to say that I have been on all 7 continents. I’ve ridden camels in the Sahara, walked across a wire traverse 500 feet above ground in the Pico D’Europa mountains in Cantabria, Spain, hiked Denali National Park in Alaska, skinned and skied the mountains in Antartica, rock climbed in the Dolomites and canyoneered in Corsica. I have skied in many places and countries.
Other interest include yoga, tennis, and horseback riding. I have my 200hr certification in yoga. I also speak French!
We have 4 sons. They have been introduced at a very young age to travel as well. We have travelled as a family to Europe, Israel, Alaska, China, Africa, South America and many places in the US.
The Adventure experiences that we organize are the ones that Alon and I have done personally.
